INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY

Indian Air Force (IAF) Day is celebrated annually on October 8th to commemorate the official establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932. The day honours the bravery and dedication of air warriors, acknowledges the IAF's historical achievements, showcases its modern capabilities and technological advancements, and inspires patriotism and potential careers in the force. 
The slogan of the Air Force Day is 
'Touch the sky with Glory.'

This year, the focus or  significance will be on Operation Sindoor, with Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh expected to highlight the IAF's achievements.

Air Marshal Subroto Mukerjee is widely regarded as the father of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He was the first Indian to command a flight and a squadron in the IAF, and he later became the first Indian Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of an independent India. 
The day is a tribute to the brave air warriors who safeguard India's skies and uphold national security. Salute to them.
